Role Overview
As a Scrum Master at Wello, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the Scrum process and empowering our development teams. You will be responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. You will work closely with the Product Owner, Development Team, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow and successful project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives).
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the blocker.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master.
- Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
- Knowledge of Jira software
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
